Evaluation Criteria
Gaudi Architecture Prize uses a Scoring System where each criterion is to be scored on a scale of (1-10), thus creating an overall score of 30 points
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN CATEGORY
Critique of Form
This category evaluates the physical form and fundamental functions of the design. In this category, the jury will examine not only the aesthetic appeal of the form, but also how well it responds to the design function.
Critique of Spaces
Utopian spaces are always interesting. This category evaluates the quality of spaces created in the design. In this category, the jury will examine the ergonomics and functions of each space designed with respect to the end user.
Innovation Quotient
The uniqueness of the project can clearly be identified through its ideas. In this category, the jury will consider those unique ideas and innovative concepts upon which the project is developed.
INTERIOR DESIGN CATEGORY
Critique of Aesthetics
Visual sensitivity and choice of materials and textures play a crucial role in designing interior spaces. In this category, the jury will examine not just the aesthetic appeal of the space but also how well it responds to the main design function and its correspondence to the ambiance of the space.
Critique of Ergonomics
Any good interior design must master proportion and ease of use. In this category, the jury will examine the ergonomics and function of each space designed with respect to the end user.
Innovation Quotient
The uniqueness of the project can clearly be identified through its ideas. In this category, the jury will consider those unique ideas and innovative concepts upon which the project is developed.
URBAN DESIGN CATEGORY
Critique of Space
Urban spaces weave multiple functionalities which are interdisciplinary and interconnected. In this category, the jury will examine the holistic nature of the project with keen eye on how the interdisciplinary functions correlate with each other and how each space incorporates user friendly public interaction.
Critique of Impact
Impact relates to the potential change that the design evokes. In this category, the jury will examine how the urban space interacts with the environment while incorporating natural ecosystems, Socio-economic factors and cultural elements and evaluate the overall response to local issues and the potential impact of the urban space.

FURNITURE DESIGN CATEGORY
Critique of Aesthetics
Balanced aesthetic, feel and comfort create the ideal furniture In this category, the jury will examine not just the aesthetic appeal of the furniture but also how functional and suitable it is for the end user.

Ergonomics is key to furniture design. In this category, the jury will examine how user friendly the design is for the relevant end user.
